In the studio

Many hours are spent each week in my studio, surrounded by paintings I'm working on. I often work on two or three pieces at a time in rotation. This is not a production line mentality, but simply gives things time to dry and myself hopefully time for inspiration, moving from one painting to another when an idea comes to mind or a need of alteration or change of direction suddenly becomes apparent.

The studio is a place for constant contemplation. There is always a need to sit back and take stock of what you are doing. More time is spent staring into the void than filling it, so to speak!
